Security Officer Hospital Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Morgue Patrol Driver in Mayfield Heights, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare and related industries. This unarmed officer position involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, badge and/or credential checks, and other security-related support functions based on site requirements.
• Support hospital and clinic operations by observing for policy violations, assisting during urgent situations, and coordinating with staff and/or first responders when appropriate.

Requirements

• Compliance with hospital vaccination requirements is required.
• This assignment may include work in or around a morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals as required in a hospital environment.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
