Security Officer - GSOC Operator

About the role

As a Security Officer GSOC Operator in Portage, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and sharing information with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor movement, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support day-to-day operations by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related concerns while maintaining a courteous presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Knowledge of site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.
• Basic first aid knowledge is preferred.
