Security Officer Graveyard Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Graveyard Patrol in Vernon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, dock doors, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the logistics and distribution location, verify visitor and driver credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry, exit, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, hazards, and/or suspicious activity in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
