Security Officer Gate Position - Second Shift

As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will manage entry points, verify badges and credentials, monitor access activity, and provide courteous support to employees and visitors. You will help maintain a secure environment through visible presence, clear communication, and professional customer service. Comfortable use of computers or tablets is preferred. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store associates, vendors, delivery personnel, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with store leadership and Allied Universal management regarding access activity, incidents, and site-specific concerns.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
