Security Officer Full Time Visitor Authentication

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional in a commercial real estate location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, support badge and alarm panel activities, and provide exceptional customer service. You will maintain a professional presence, communicate clearly with tenants and guests, and help support a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors at a commercial real estate front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Monitor access to the building, verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Receive and route calls, deliveries, and inquiries while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence at the front desk.
• Observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
