Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Routine Patrol

About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Routine Patrol Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe persons entering and leaving the location, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
Requirements
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
