About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Perimeter Patrol Security Officer in Tallahassee, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as healthcare. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Conduct routine rounds, report concerns, and collaborate with the team while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of restricted areas and reporting unusual conditions.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- A Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
