Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Surveillance

About the role

As a Security Officer (Full Time Unarmed Patrol Surveillance) in Belleville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Financial Institutions. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, communicating professionally, and responding to routine security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and contractor activity.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
