Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Support in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to concerns.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and provide directions or assistance to support an orderly healthcare environment.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Schedule: Day Time — Mon 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Tue 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Wed 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Thur 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM, Sun 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM
