About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Baltimore, MD, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide professional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and port-related personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, access points, buildings, parking areas, waterfront perimeters, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify supervisors, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or port personnel as required.
  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.14 / hour

Schedule

  • Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Thursday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
