About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Readiness in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
Assist with access control, visitor directions, and other campus support duties while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
