Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Documentation

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff while responding to security-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, vendor, and staff entry procedures in accordance with location requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and designated client representatives.

Requirements

• Must have supervisory experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
