Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Manassas, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. At a retail mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. This driving position offers the opportunity to respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and provide outstanding customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or disruptive behavior.
• Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
