Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Baytown, TX, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control activities, and help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition reports, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, process areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry as required, and document visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
