Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Assistance

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Assistance in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist employees and visitors with professionalism. You will use communication and customer service skills while working as part of a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production, warehouse, office, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, maintain visitor records, and report unauthorized access attempts according to site policies.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

• Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour
• Position Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Monday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Tuesday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Wednesday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Thursday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Sunday 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
