Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Observation

About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Observation Security Officer in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and/or unusual observations accurately.
- Support a professional work environment by following Allied Universal and site-specific policies, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and reporting maintenance or security-related issues.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
