Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Hospital

About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You may support sensitive hospital areas and assist with behavioral incidents when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
