Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Tablet Based Patrol in Hopewell Junction, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and help maintain orderly entry and exit activity.
  • Support a professional environment by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and following established reporting and escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
