Security Officer - Full Time Screening

About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Inspector in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. In this fast-paced environment, you will help maintain a secure setting by screening personnel, visitors, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting suspicious activity. Your professional customer service, clear communication, and visible presence will help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel entering the distribution location in accordance with site procedures.
- Inspect authorized items, packages, and/or vehicles as directed to support controlled access and help deter unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, access points, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
