Security Officer Full Time Patrol Support

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Montgomery, AL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms or concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with tenants and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

$16.30 / hour
