As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Presence in Paterson, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education. As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate school personnel when needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to school representatives and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
