Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Driver Security Officer in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as automotive. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, and help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive manufacturing and operations location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking lots, exterior grounds, access points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

$19.00 / Hour

Schedule

• Monday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thursday: 05:30 AM - 02:00 PM
• Friday: 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM
