As a Security Officer Full Time Overnights in South Elgin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers, tenants, and staff. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and contribute to a culture built on integrity, teamwork, reliability, innovation, and care for people.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and warehouse areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, delivery activity, and restricted areas; verify visitor and contractor access in accordance with site policies.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.95 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, Sunday: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (overnight shifts)
