Security Officer Full Time - Overnights

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a food and beverage location in Franklin Park, IL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing or distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production areas, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs of arrivals, departures, and deliveries.
• Observe loading and receiving activity, report irregularities, and support site procedures related to restricted areas, employee conduct, and protection of food products and facility assets.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
