Security Officer Full Time - Overnight

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer to provide security services at a technology‑focused location in West Columbia, SC. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points and alarms, and delivering professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access‑related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site‑specific reporting requirements.
• Maintain professional communication with site stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming, orderly environment.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Comfort using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation and drug screen as required by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.51 per hour.

• Friday: 9:45 PM – 5:45 AM
• Saturday: 9:45 PM – 5:45 AM
