Security Officer Full Time - Mornings

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in East Dubuque, IL. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service in a people-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of chemical and petrochemical facility grounds, access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition notifications, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and shift documentation related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$20.50 per hour.
