Responsibilities

As a Security Officer Full Time Turnstile Monitoring in Montgomery, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Professional at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver entry records, and direct authorized personnel and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow at entry and exit locations while following established access-control procedures.

Requirements

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
