Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Licensed Patrol Security Officer in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms or unusual activity. This role involves providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to create a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare diagnostics facility, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements to maintain an orderly environment.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report observations according to established procedures.
• Support a professional healthcare environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and escalating security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.

Pay

$16.25 / hour

• Monday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Tuesday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
