About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Hospital Access in Aiken, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Healthcare Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control functions, and assist with sensitive locations such as the morgue. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence.
- Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Requirements
- Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Be able to work in a hospital morgue.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
