About the role

As a Patrol Officer supporting a government location in Santa Cruz, CA, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. This driving post offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete required incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.00 / hour

  • Monday: 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
  • Tuesday: 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
  • Wednesday: 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
  • Thursday: 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
  • Friday: 08:00 PM - 04:00 AM
