Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, conducting routine patrols, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles
• Observe inbound and outbound activity at gates, docks, and perimeter areas; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency services as directed
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, parking lots, loading docks, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Preferred qualifications

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred
• Customer Service Experience is preferred

Pay & schedule

Pay Rate: $21.70 / Hour

Schedule: DayTime Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
