Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization

About the role
As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Doraville, GA, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a reliable, caring team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Verify authorized access for personnel, delivery drivers, vendors, and/or visitors; maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle traffic, including truck gates and loading areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
