Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Jeffersonville, IN, you will help manage site entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. Through visible presence, routine patrols, and timely reporting of security-related concerns, you will help support an orderly environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor and driver entry, and maintain accurate access records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Assist with traffic flow and access coordination for deliveries, pickups, and outbound shipments in accordance with site policies.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
