Security Officer Full Time Driving

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, monitor access points, and help maintain a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your visible presence, communication, and customer service skills will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and wayfinding while maintaining a professional and compassionate presence in patient care areas.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, and other security-related activities accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
