Security Officer Full Time Building Access Control

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional at a financial institution in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve as a welcoming, professional presence while supporting access control, visitor management, and security-related communications. You will help maintain a secure environment through attentive observation and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional front-desk customer service by greeting visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional manner while following site-specific access procedures for a financial institution.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide basic directions and information, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and appropriate site contacts.
• Observe activity at the reception area and monitor applicable access-control systems to help identify and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws as a condition of employment.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay rate: $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.
