As a Security Officer Full Time Badge Systems Administrator in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor and badge access, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity.
Schedule
Full-time position with the following shifts:
- Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Pay
$19.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Control access to the logistics and distribution location by verifying identification, visitor credentials, delivery appointments, and authorization for entry and exit.
- Monitor and document the movement of personnel, vehicles, deliveries, and shipments at access points, following established site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- Guard Card or license preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws as a condition of employment.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
