Security Officer Full Time

About the Role

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Hamilton Township, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, verify badges and credentials, monitor entry points, and support screening procedures. In this visible role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play an important part in daily site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and site personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipment-related documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to docks, gates, trailers, and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or operational issues that may require reporting.
• Document visitor activity, vehicle arrivals, and security-related incidents in logs and reports, while communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Schedule

Full Time. DayTime shift: Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM.

Pay

Pay Rate: $19.05 / Hour
