Security Officer - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document the movement of authorized personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
- Observe and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations, and maintain accurate incident and patrol records.
Requirements
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
