As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, identifying potential security-related concerns, and providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while assisting employees and guests. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government facility by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity according to site protocols.
- Verify identification, credentials, appointments, and authorized entry requirements for visitors and contractors before permitting access to designated areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
- Maintain accurate visitor, screening, and incident records while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a professional, orderly entry environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Schedule
Part Time. Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
Pay
$17.95 per hour.
