Security Officer - Full Time
About the role
As a Security Officer - Full Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers, guests, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and emergency response protocols at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, storefront exteriors, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly operations, assist with crowd management, and document security-related incidents and observations.
- Support lost and found inquiries, provide directions and general assistance, and complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
