Security Officer Full Time Armed

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns while providing professional customer service and clear communication in a controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain required logs, and report unusual activity to site leadership and appropriate responders.
• Carry and maintain authorized duty equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, client policies, and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least three years of security-related experience, law enforcement experience, military police experience, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
