Security Officer Full Time -Armed

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Emergency Response in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report unusual conditions, and document incidents according to site requirements.
• Maintain required qualifications and responsibly carry authorized equipment for the armed post in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and training.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Meet licensing requirements as subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
