Security Officer Full Time Access Policy Enforcement

About the role

As an Access Control Officer supporting a retail distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, documenting visitor activity, and communicating professionally with employees, vendors, and guests. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while supporting security-related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution center.
• Control access to the facility by verifying employee, visitor, contractor, and delivery driver credentials; documenting entries and exits; and following site-specific visitor management procedures.
• Monitor access points, gates, and assigned areas for unusual activity, unauthorized entry attempts, and policy violations, helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations; document observations and report security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
