Security Officer Full Time Access Coordination

About the role

As a Full Time Access Coordination Security Officer in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. You will manage entry points, verify access credentials, greet patients, visitors, and staff, and support a welcoming environment. You will remain visible, report security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare facility entrances, restricted areas, and visitor checkpoints in accordance with established protocols.
• Verify identification and credentials, issue visitor passes as authorized, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and surrounding areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
