Security Officer Full Time Access Compliance Driver

About the role
As an Access Control Officer at a retail distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit activity, verify credentials, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in the job state and adherence to Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points at a retail distribution location, verify credentials and authorized entry, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
- Control vehicle and pedestrian access in accordance with site procedures, including directing drivers to designated check-in and staging areas.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
