Security Officer (FT/On-Call) - $15/hr

About the role

The Assistant General Manager will lead the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Assisting in transporting money and chips.
• Controlling access to restricted areas.
• Reacting to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
• Making sure patrons and employees pass through the gaming facility safely.
• Reporting any safety hazards.
• Answering incoming calls to the facility and directing calls or answering patron questions.
• Operating a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid Driver’s License.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
• Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.

Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• 1 year of security experience in a hotel/casino setting.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25lbs.
• No special accommodations needed due to physical limitations.
