Job Description As a Security Officer for Commercial Buildings in El Segundo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.65 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMWed04:00 PM - 12:00 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions that may vary by site.Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by observing pedestrian and vehicle activity, verifying access when required, and reporting suspicious behavior.Support daily property operations by assisting with security-related checks of doors, gates, lighting, and other exterior and interior areas, while communicating clearly with management and/or emergency personnel as needed. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred.A guard card and/or license is preferred.Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.This is primarily a driving post.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
