Security Officer Foot Patrol - Day Shift

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a dynamic food and beverage location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including production-adjacent areas, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, while remaining aware of varying environmental conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing incoming and outgoing activity, and reporting security-related concerns.
• Support order at the location by observing for policy violations, potential hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, then escalating issues through proper reporting channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
