How This Role Works

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail environment.

  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local law enforcement when appropriate.

  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.

  • Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and merchandise-sensitive locations to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct while maintaining a visible presence.

  • Follow post orders for the authorized carrying and handling of assigned equipment, report hazards or maintenance concerns, and support access control, closing procedures, and other assigned security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

  • A Level III Armed Guard Card is required in Texas only.

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
