As a Security Officer - Flex Warehouse Enhanced Screener in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom at an Amazon Warehouse location. This flex part-time role lets you build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications site, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, while communicating clearly, assisting employees and visitors, and documenting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a technology location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of communication.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, lobbies, corridors, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, verifying credentials where required and documenting visitor, vendor, and delivery activity per site guidelines.
• Complete routine reports and shift documentation, including incident reports, patrol activity logs, and observations of hazards or maintenance issues for follow-up.

Requirements

• Guard card or license preferred (licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment).
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws; qualified applications with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.69 per hour.

Schedule

Flex part-time position; open availability required. Shifts can be claimed via the Claim a Shift platform.
